The experience

Your family in Milan, all in one frame

On a family trip one person is always behind the camera. Book an hour with us and everyone is in the photos: we choose a route that works with a stroller, time it around naps and let the kids be kids.

Parents kissing their baby’s cheeks in Milan

Little ones

Babies and toddlers

Thirty minutes to an hour is the sweet spot for small children. We work fast, get down to their level and catch the giggles between the poses.

Milestone birthdays

Quinceañera, sweet 16, 18th

A gown, the Duomo and the whole family. We photograph the birthday girl on her own and with everyone who came to Milan for her.

Expecting parents

Maternity

A maternity session in Milan or on Lake Como, a few months before the family grows. Flowing dresses and soft morning light work best.

Two generations

Mothers, daughters, grandparents

A trip together deserves photos everyone can frame: mother and daughter, grandparents and grandchildren, the whole family.

Photographing children: how we keep it easy

Children don’t pose, and we don’t ask them to. Annika plays, chats and keeps the session moving, so you get real laughs instead of forced smiles.

  • Morning sessions: soft light, quieter squares and fresh little ones.
  • A flat route from the Duomo to the Galleria, easy with a stroller.
  • Bring a snack and a favourite toy. Short breaks are part of the plan.
  • Coordinate, don’t match: two or three calm colours look best together.

Where we photograph

The best places for a family photoshoot in Milan

Mother and daughter sitting together in the empty Piazza del Duomo, Milan
Piazza del Duomo, early morning

Piazza del Duomo

The photo your family will ask for. Early in the morning the square is quiet and there is space for little ones to move.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

Right next to the Duomo, with a flat mosaic floor and a glass roof. Even light at midday, and dry if it rains.

Piazza dei Mercanti

A calm medieval square a few steps from the Duomo, with arcades and old stone columns.

Castello Sforzesco and Parco Sempione

Red-brick towers and the park behind them, with lawns where children can run between photos.

Casa degli Omenoni

A quiet street near the Galleria with giant stone figures on the facade. Good for a family portrait without a crowd.

Lake Como

An hour from Milan by train, for maternity and family photos by the water. See our Lake Como photoshoots.

Short sessions work best with little ones: 30 minutes at the Duomo, or an hour with the Galleria, ends before anyone gets tired. Family photoshoots start at €150 for 30 minutes: see every package and what is included.

Before your photoshoot

When to shoot and what to wear

Planning around the children

  • Plan around naps and snacks. Short sessions work best with little ones.
  • Early morning is our favourite: the square is quiet and the light is soft.
  • Midday sun is hard on the square, so we move into the Galleria, where the light is even.
  • Rain is not a reason to cancel. The Galleria keeps everyone dry.
  • A favourite toy or a snack in your bag helps more than any pose.

What to wear as a family

  • Coordinate, don’t match: two or three calm colours shared across the family.
  • Solid colours stand out against Milan’s cream and grey stone: white, cream, black, deep red, caramel or soft blue.
  • Skip big logos, neon colours and busy small prints.
  • Comfortable shoes for everyone, especially the little ones.
  • Bring anything with a story: a teddy, a hat, a family heirloom.

English, Italian, Russian and Ukrainian. Write to us in whichever language you prefer.

On the day

Most families start at the Duomo and walk through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II: flat, close together and easy with a stroller. Longer sessions add Brera, Castello Sforzesco or the Navigli.

Morning. The light is soft, the squares are at their quietest and children are at their best before lunch.

Coordinated, not matching: two or three calm colours that go together. Avoid big logos and busy prints, and bring comfortable shoes for the children.

It happens, and it’s fine. We take a break, play a little and carry on. Some of the best family photos come from the moments in between.

We watch the forecast with you and plan a covered option. The Galleria and the arcades around the Duomo keep everyone dry.

After the shoot

Your full edited gallery arrives within one week. Need them sooner? The express option delivers in 24 to 48 hours for €100.
